Job Title:Staging and AV Member
Reporting to:Staging and AV Team Leader

Role Overview

The Staging and AV Team’s role is focussed on maintaining the staging and audio visual infrastructure, safety, usability, and quality across the site for the duration of the set-up and presentation of the event. Key roles involve the commissioning and de-commission of staging areas, as well as the preparation and execution of the appropriate safety regulations.

  • To support the setting up, maintenance and clearing away of the various stages around the site.    
  • To monitor the usage of the site stage facilities, ensuring it is a safe working environment for all team members, authorised users and performers.
  • To support in the supervision of people who enter the site to make sure rules are followed including performers

Person Specification

  • Keen observational skills to identify hazards and anticipate key actions required with a solution focussed mentality.
  • Practical skills to be able to intervene when faults are identified within the staging infrastructure of the site.
  • A team player with strong leadership and delegation skills

Skills / Qualifications Required for role

  • Experience with installing basic lighting, sound, audio visual and construction elements.
  • Confidence and proficiency in working in public contexts with projects, event installation, and licensed premises.
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Able to work collaboratively with a team

General

  • To hold a valid Scout Association DBS check
  • To undertake any relevant training you are requested to complete, including but not limited to Health & Safety and Safeguarding
  • To undertake any role / work which may be required by your department head
  • When requested, to assist in the smooth and safe running of the camp as a whole. This may include tasks not normally associated with your department
  • Able to work collaboratively with a team
  • Friendly and approachable
  • The ability to have fun!!
