Resource Planning Manager

Job Title:Resource Planning Manager
Reporting to:Head of HR

Role Overview

Responsible for Managing the resource planning prior and during the event. This will be multiple teams across a number of disciplines.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise the use of people resources
  • Lead the resource planning team in the development and maintenance of resource plans, including forecasting and scheduling
  • Identify resource constraints and develop solutions to address them, including the identification of new resources or the optimization of existing ones
  • Train and develop team members and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed
  • Work closely with the leadership team to identify and address resource constraints and develop effective solutions
  • Act as a point of contact for team members on resource planning matters, and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.

Person Specification

  • Strong understanding of resource management concepts and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, leadership, and external parties
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address potential areas of risk
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, and to provide ongoing support and guidance as needed
  • Experience with training and development of team members

Skills / Qualifications Required for role

  • Management and Leadership Background
  • Ability to demonstrate managing multiple teams at large events

General

  • To hold a valid Scout Association DBS check
  • To undertake any relevant training you are requested to complete, including but not limited to Health & Safety and Safeguarding
  • To undertake any role / work which may be required by your department head
  • When requested, to assist in the smooth and safe running of the camp as a whole. This may include tasks not normally associated with your department
  • Able to work collaboratively with a team
