Job Title:Fencing and Barriers Team Leader
Reporting to:Site Manager

Role Overview

As the event spread over three large sites, keeping campers secure, activities suitably zoned and crowd controlled requires a lot of fencing. This is where the Fencing and Barriers Team are pivotal. The Team is focussed on maintaining temporary infrastructure solutions, usability, and quality of the site for the duration of the set-up and presentation of the event. 

  • To lead with the setting up, general maintenance and clearing away of the various fencing and barriers used throughout the event.
  • To lead in the maintenance of pre-erected fencing.
  • To lead in supervision of people who deliver and or build such structures.
  • To lead in accepting deliveries and delivering solutions to the relevant area and disposing of rubbish.

Person Specification

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good decision-making skills, and the ability to problem solve when needed.
  • Knowledge of safe storage and handling procedures

Skills / Qualifications Required for role

  • Experience with installing basic fencing solutions and barriers and its construction elements.
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Able to work collaboratively with a team

General

  • To hold a valid Scout Association DBS check
  • To undertake any relevant training you are requested to complete, including but not limited to Health & Safety and Safeguarding
  • To undertake any role / work which may be required by your department head
  • When requested, to assist in the smooth and safe running of the camp as a whole. This may include tasks not normally associated with your department
  • Able to work collaboratively with a team
  • Friendly and approachable
  • The ability to have fun!!
