Role Overview
The Electrical Team role is focussed on maintaining the electrical power infrastructure, safety, usability, and quality across the site for the duration of the set-up and presentation of the event. Key roles involve the commissioning and de-commission of electrical power supplies, as well as the preparation and execution of the appropriate safety regulations.
- To support the setting up, maintenance and clearing away of the various electrical infrastructure needs around the site. Including but not limited to large 100Kva+ to small 3.5Kva, hybrid and solar power solutions.
- To support with the setting up, maintenance and clearing away of the various security lighting solutions around the site. Including but not limited to generator powered, hybrid and solar power solutions.
- To support the commissioning of electrical infrastructure solutions ensuring they conform to the appropriate approved regulations.
- To support in monitoring the usage of the electrical infrastructure, ensuring it is a safe working environment for all team members and authorised users.
- To support in supervision of people who enter the site to make sure rules are followed including sub contractors
Person Specification
- Practical skills to be able to intervene when faults are identified within the electrical infrastructure of the site.
- Ability to identify challenges and work through problem-solving solutions in a pressurised environment
- A team player with strong leadership and delegation skills
Skills / Qualifications Required for role
- Experience with installing event electrical infrastructure and construction elements.
- Experience with installing event security lighting infrastructure and construction elements.
- Desirable: large scale event electrical installations
- Desirable: hold a recognised and appropriate electrical installation and maintenance qualification.
- Confidence and proficiency in working in public contexts with projects, event installation, and licensed premises.
- Friendly and approachable
- Able to work collaboratively with a team
General
- To hold a valid Scout Association DBS check
- To undertake any relevant training you are requested to complete, including but not limited to Health & Safety and Safeguarding
- To undertake any role / work which may be required by your department head
- When requested, to assist in the smooth and safe running of the camp as a whole. This may include tasks not normally associated with your department
