

Phil Bennett
Jamboree Event Leader
Phil is the Jamboree Event Leader for Larkin '28. He has led lots of adventures as a scouter, including leading the North Yorkshire County group to the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea.
He Is really excited to be working with a talented, committed and enthusiastic team of volunteers that are building a bigger and better second Larkin Jamboree for 2028. I am really looking forward to see all the amazing adventures we will deliver for all the scouters, guiders and participants that will join us for an even bigger and even better Larkin Jamboree in 2028!!

Andy Thirlwell
Deputy Event Leader for Project Management
Andy joined Scouting in 2013 in the 1st Clifton Sea Scouts and is now also the Estate Team Lead for The York Scouts Activity Centre.
Andy is back for Larkin '28 in a different role, but was very proud to play his part in Larkin '24 by handing back the site in perfect condition, just as though thousands of scouts and guides were never there!
He is looking forward to being part of Larkin '28, making new connections and having fun!

James Barker
Deputy Event Leader for Operations
James has been a scouter for longer than he cares to remember and currently volunteers with 1st Holgate in York. James has years of professional experience in running events safely and is delighted to be sharing that experience with the team to ensure our Jamboree is a safe one. He is looking forward to the end of a safe and successful Larkin '28, followed by a cold beer, hot bath and a good nights sleep!!

Guy Beavis
Deputy Event Leader for Integration
Guy is part of the North Yorkshire Scout Event Team and has created and led events for all age groups. These events include "Escape" which is a 24 hour event for Explorer Scouts, whose objective is to avoid being caught by teams of adult volunteer or Network member catchers!
He looked after the Staff Sub Camp at Larkin '24 and although in a different role this time is looking forward to seeing everyone having a great time at this second Larkin Jamboree.

Dan Dawson
Team Leader for Site Infrastructure
Dan is the Chair of North Yorkshire Scout Property Committee and a member of the County Event Team. He is one to get stuck in as part of a team and is looking forward to taking the lead for Larkin '28.
He is really looking forward to bringing people together to create an unforgettable experience for young people. Events like Larkin '28 give scouts the chance to try new things, make lifelong friends and build memories and he excited to be part of the team making that happen.

Debbie Peers
Team Leader for Governance & Compliance
Debbie joins us from Birkenhead and enjoyed herself so much at Larkin '24, is back again for Larkin '28 in the same role. One of her most memorable scout adventures was as a Deputy Unit leader with a contingent who went to the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea.
She is looking forward to working hard to ensure the team delivers a safe and enjoyable event for everyone and the silent discos!!

Darren Clements
Team leader for Finance
Darren started out as a Beaver leader a role he still continues in today but is also Group Lead Volunteer in the Richmondshire District in North Yorkshire. He is back again for Larkin '28 as he held a similar role at Larkin '24.
Darren is looking forward to building on everything we learnt in 2024 and building on that to put Larkin Jamboree firmly on the Jamboree map.

Rebecca Cook
Team Leader for External Communications & Media Relations
Rebecca is a Brownie Leader and Trainer in York and has been involved in Girlguiding since being a Brownie at the age of 7!! She has led numerous trips abroad, been involved in the organisation of camps and events both in the UK and abroad. Rebecca is heading up the External Communications and Media Relations team again at Larkin '28 and is looking forward to sharing everyone's adventures as far and as loud as possible at Larkin '28!!

Luke Harrison
Team Leader for Site Operations
Luke is a District Lead Volunteer in Harrogate and Nidderdale. He is looking forward to leading the team that will ensure that lots of key things happen on site from transport, security to internet provision and waste management for all volunteers and participants at Larkin '28

Nick Poole
Team Leader for Volunteer Engagement
Nick is a Scouter in North Yorkshire and Solihull. He will look after the team that will process all our Volunteers, ensure all our required accreditations and encourage our Youth Volunteering and Youth Awards participation.
He is looking forward to catching up with friends from the last 20 years and making new ones.

Becky Lincoln
Team Leader for Subcamps and Jamboree Life
Becky is a District Lead Volunteer from York and is back in the same role for Larkin '28. She will lead the volunteer teams on each of the Subcamps and make sure that there is a Subcamp programme and a Larkin '28 Jamboree challenge award for volunteers and participants to complete!

Bert Sadler
Team Leader for International Participation
Bert is joining us from Stansted in Essex and was at Larkin '24. He has taken part in several international Scout adventures, including the World Moot in Canada and has been part of the IST for the Moot in Iceland and the World Scout Jamboree in Japan.
He is looking forward to supporting as many groups from around the World as possible to enjoy all the amazing things Larkin '28 and North Yorkshire has to offer!!

Rhys Gregson
Team Leader for On Site Day Programme
Rhys is an Explorer Team Member and is also part of the County World Scout Jamboree Contingent Leadership Team. He has attended many Jamborees in the UK and abroad and loves how Jamborees give experiences to enjoy all Scouts has to offer on a huge scale!
He is looking forward to seeing all our participants get involved in the programme the team will put together, live Jamboree life to the maximum!

Beth Lockwood
Team Leader for Little Larkin Programme
Beth is Brownie Leader from Ripon and a District Commissioner. She is also leading a Girlguiding North East England group to Malta this summer where she will experience International Guiding at its best.
She is looking forward to working with a new team and contributing to this fantastic event by leading the Little Larkin Programme team.

Dale Osborne
Team Leader for Stage & Ceremonies
Dale is a chair of a Trustee Board at a Group in York. He is looking forward to leading the team that will provide a week of fun activities both on and off stage as well as Larkin's Got Talent which is making a comeback!!
